Privacy Policy
Last updated 5 August 2026
This policy explains what personal data M3M Resale collects through M3M Resale, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. It is written to meet our obligations under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
If you list a property
- Your name, where you choose to give it
- Your mobile number — required, because we verify it and call you back
- Details of the property: project, tower, floor, configuration, expected price
- Photographs you upload
- The date, time and IP address at which you gave consent
If you enquire about a property
- Your name, mobile number and, optionally, your email address
- Your message and any preferred site-visit date
- Which listing or project you enquired about, and the page you came from
Automatically
- Standard server logs: IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps
- Analytics about how pages are used, in aggregate
Why we collect it
We use your mobile number to verify that a listing is genuine, and to contact you about the specific property you listed or enquired about. That is the whole purpose. We do not use it for anything else unless you separately opt in.
Verification codes sent on WhatsApp are transactional. Construction updates, new-listing alerts and similar messages are marketing, and we only send those if you have separately agreed to receive them. Agreeing to one is not agreeing to the other.
Your number is not shared with buyers
If you list a property, your name and phone number are never displayed on the site and are never passed to a prospective buyer. Enquiries come to us and we contact you. This is deliberate: it is how we keep unwanted calls off your phone.
Who else sees your data
We share personal data only with:
- Our hosting provider, which stores the site and its database
- Our messaging provider, in order to deliver a verification code to your WhatsApp
- Analytics providers, which receive usage data and not your phone number
- A public authority, where we are legally required to disclose it
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with other brokers or agents.
How long we keep it
- Verification codes — deleted shortly after they expire, and stored hashed, never in readable form
- Enquiries — up to 3 years from your last contact with us, so we can pick up a conversation you began earlier
- Listing and seller records — for as long as the listing is active, and up to 7 years afterwards where a transaction took place, as required for tax and regulatory records
- Server logs — up to 12 months
Phone numbers are encrypted where they are stored.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act 2023 you may:
- Ask what personal data of yours we hold, and why
- Ask us to correct or complete anything inaccurate
- Ask us to erase your data, where we are not required to keep it
- Withdraw your consent at any time
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights if you are unable to
- Complain to the Data Protection Board of India if we do not resolve your grievance
Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done while it was in force.
Grievance Officer
If you have a concern about how we handle your data, contact our Grievance Officer. We will acknowledge you promptly and respond within the timelines the Act requires.
Cookies
We use a session cookie so the listing form remembers your answers between steps, and a security token to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. Both are necessary for the site to work. Any analytics cookies are used only in aggregate and never to identify you personally.
Children
This site is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Where a change materially affects how we use your data, we will tell you directly.
